Eatons ES AMER ARS PDCAD division is currently seeking a Manufacturing Technician. The hourly rate for this position is $20.50 per hour. Please note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon candidate skills experience and qualifications as well as market and business considerations.
HOURS: 6AM - 2:30PM
Candidates must reside within 50 miles from our Houston TX location OR Fayetteville NC location (14825 Northwest Freeway Houston TX OR 2900 Doc Bennett Rd. Fayetteville NC). THOSE RESIDING IN FAYETTEVILLE MUST RELOCATE TO HOUSTON UPON COMPLETION OF TRAINING.
Candidates hired will be required to train for 6-8 weeks in the Fayetteville NC location.
Houston-based individuals that travel to Fayetteville NC to train will have expenses covered according to Eatons Worldwide Travel and Expense Policy.
Fayetteville based individuals that live within 50 miles of our Fayetteville NC location will receive a one-time lump sum relocation bonus of $5000 will be paid to hired candidates relocating to the Houston area upon completion of training.
A retention bonus will be paid to individuals hired according to the following schedule: $250 bonus after 3 months of employment; $500 bonus after 6 months of employment $1000 bonus after 1 year of employment.
Position will also be eligible for a variable incentive program beginning January 2026.

What youll do:
Assemble fit and mount sub-assemblies components and standard and near standard fixed assemblies in Motor Control Centers Enclosed Control and related assemblies and sub-assemblies. Perform assembly required for test preparation and final inspection. Assemble and wire units relay panels panel boards space heaters and control panels. Bend and install power cable and leads fabricate pre-cable unit panel and MTB harnesses and power leads. Use established power checking procedures and equipment to verify electrical/mechanical integrity of units assembled. Stage parts for customer orders.
Work from oral or written instructions from supervision and/or prints inspection reports manufacturing information sheets and standard or near standard wiring diagrams.
Utilize manufacturing information sheets determine necessary parts write requisitions and obtain materials from stock areas.
Assemble and fit parts and components to form sub-assemblies or completed assemblies.
Assemble and wire control devices cutting wires to length.
Install units pan assemblies and cover up steel meters kirk keys pull boxes reactors relays fuses MTB assemblies panel boards space heaters transformers etc. by mounting / bolting into place. Assemble and install bus work such as lug adapters cross over bus splices etc.
Make pre-bent cable unit MTB and control panel harnesses using pre-cable boards control panels and hand crimp lugs if necessary. Cut install and connect wire and/or cable in units where circuitry requires additional relays timers fuses etc. Cut form and connect control wire power wire and cable point to point on units relay panels control panels and space heaters. Make solder connections.
Use a floor operated overhead-crane and jib cranes. Move units harnesses device panels etc. from one area to another.

Must have a high school diploma /GED.

Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship
Minimum six months of experience in an assembly related role with the use of hand and/or power tools (experience in automotive repairs construction carpentry or other assembly type environments will be considered).
Preferred Qualifications:
Minimum one year experience in manufacturing or production environment
Position Criteria:
Ensure compliance where applicable with systems and /or programs such as but not limited to ISO 9000-2000 ISO 14001 Underwriters Laboratory NEMA etcParticipate in and demonstrate understanding of other programs such as Eaton Business System (EBS) Eaton Safety Process (ESP) etc
Determine the quality of work reporting problems to area supervisor or Quality Control personnel. Maintain piece count and associated records where applicable.
Read shop orders and drawings to determine assembly procedures such as component types and configuration mounting locations and clearances required.
Wear all safety equipment and observe all hygiene requirements as specified and directed.
Maintain equipment and work areas in a clean and orderly manner.
