VHIR is seeking to fill two Research Technician positions in the Biomedical Research Group in Gynecology.
The ideal candidates will be organized detail-oriented individuals capable of assisting with routine laboratory procedures including sample processing reagent preparation equipment maintenance and ensuring compliance with safety protocols. They will contribute to the day-to-day functioning of the lab and support experimental work under the supervision of senior researchers.

Required:
- Higher Vocational Training Certificate (CFGS) in Laboratory Operations Clinical Laboratory or similar.
- Fluency in Catalan and Spanish; good level of English.
- Animal Handling Course.
Desired:
- Training in handling chemical and/or biological products.
Experience and knowledge:
Required:
- Minimum of 2 year of experience performing laboratory tasks.
- Expertise as laboratory technician.
- Expertise in biobanking and handling complex human samples
- Familiarity with sample and inventory management systems.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Desired:
- Previous experience in biomedical research environments.
- Knowledge of laboratory safety standards.
Main responsibilities and duties:
- Manage the biobank collection processing storing and recording of samples.
- Manage the preclinical models platform including mouse models and organoids.
- Maintain laboratory inventories.
- Provide support for daily laboratory activities.
- Prepare reagents and solutions.
- Perform cleaning and basic maintenance of laboratory equipment.
- Ensure compliance with biosafety regulations.
- Collaborate with team members in experimental tasks.
- Be updated in laboratory techniques.
Labour conditions:
- Full-time position: 40h/week.
- Starting date: 01/10/2025.
- Gross annual salary: Remuneration will depend on experience and skills. Salary ranges are consistent with our Collective Agreement pay scale
- Contract: 2 available positions. Technical and scientific activities contract linked to the project activities.
