Project Overview:

Port Arthur LNG LLC (PALNG) is developing a Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) production and export facility on a site located on the western shoreline of the Port Arthur Canal in Jefferson County Texas. The project base scope will include two (2) identical LNG trains two (2) LNG Storage Tanks one (1) LNG Carrier Berth and associated utilities/facilities. The Project is to be constructed on a parcel of land located along State Highway 87 south of Port Arthur Texas between the inner coastal waterway bridge and Keith Lake. The Infrastructure Global Business Unit (GBU) is executing site civil and marine scopes of work associated with our scopes of work on the Energy GBU LNG projects. As the #1 LNG EPC contractor by installed capacity Bechtel has the capability to successfully deliver a broad range of LNG projects through our integrated EPC self-perform model strategic partnerships and proven experience in LNG project delivery. Partnering with Bechtel means lower cost shorter delivery schedules and greater certainty of outcomes for our customers



Job Summary:

Assists the Industrial Relations Manager other Industrial Relations Supervisors with direct guidance from Night Shift Employee Relations Rep. in the performance of the Industrial Relations function on a field project including construction maintenance and operations project or participates in support tasks in an office location. Performs research assists with various administrative tasks as related to Industrial Relations.

Working Hours: This position is for Night Shift: 6:30pm to 4:30am with required work on Sundays.



Major Responsibilities:

Assist IR Supervision in completion of site improvements at project location that benefit and assist in resolving actions that increase craft professional morale and site conditions.
Assists with the development of Industrial Relations training and orientation programs for craft professional employees and their supervisors such as on-boarding work rule enforcement and grievance procedures for manual employees
Supports the development and presentation of Industrial Relations training and orientation programs for craft professional employees and their supervisors such as on-boarding skill specific training.
At times may be involved in work rule enforcement and grievance procedures for manual employees
Assists with and keeps records on training VOCs CTOs and safety training.
Assists in data and record audits for compliance
Develops knowledge of practical application of labor laws equal employment/affirmative action legislation and related government policies
At times may interact with outside vendors.

Additional Qualifications/Responsibilities
Education and Experience Requirements:

Level I

Requires 2-4 years of related construction experience
Level II

Requires a minimum of 4-6 years of construction related experience
Associate degree or related technical training preferred


Required Knowledge and Skills:

Must have worked on multiple large scale construction projects.
Understands Standard Work Processes in multiple craft disciplines
Has ability to facilitate training class with 50 workers.
Strong understanding and working knowledge of construction equipment.
