Project Overview:
Thacker Pass is the largest known lithium resource in the United States. Once complete the mine and processing facilities will produce more lithium carbonate than any other facility in the United States by far enough to power 1 million electric vehicles per year.
As the EPCM contractor for Lithium Americas Bechtel is responsible for managing and integrating the efforts of a team contractors engineering and building the facility. We are also managing procurement of about $1 Billion in goods and services.
Earth work began in 2023 and design and procurement of long-lead equipment is underway.
The project is located in the high desert and wide-open spaces of north-central Nevada about 25 miles from the Oregon border 1 hour northwest of Winnemucca Nevada and 3 hours northeast of Reno.
Planned with sustainability and the environment in mind the facility will use its excess process heat to generate electricity and will recycle process water up to seven times. Once the second phase of the project is complete Thacker Pass will produce more than 16 times the current U.S. output of lithium.

Job Summary:
In this role you will support inventory and warehouse process compliance and accuracy. You will review purchase orders shipping documents and inspection reports and ensure that discrepancies are recorded materials are stored properly and physical inventories are completed. Your work will help ensure inventory is accurate so a project has enough tools and equipment to meet requirements.
Major Responsibilities:
Directs the physical count and inspection of arriving material
Oversees the reviewing of receiving documentation including commercial invoices reviewing packing lists and bills of lading for completeness and accuracy
Reviews Material Receiving Reports (MRRs) for completeness accuracy and timeliness
Ensures documentation is generated to record unsatisfactory over short and damage conditions of material received
Takes the lead to ensures that corrective action is expeditiously completed and that formal UOS&D Reports are prepared for permanent record
Provides direction to assigned personnel to ensure that material is stored in accordance with the project procurement storage plan and that the location of material in storage is properly recorded on the appropriate storage records (manually or automated)
Disposes of surplus project materials as approved by project management and directed by Field Procurement Management
Oversees preparation of shipping documents and registers for materials shipped off temporary operating and jobsite locations
Administers the tool crib inventory on site including data entry into the tool management system

Additional Qualifications/Responsibilities
Education and Experience Requirements:
Requires bachelors degree (or international equivalent) and 2-5 years of relevant experience or 6-9 years of relevant work experience
Required Knowledge and Skills:
Experience on Inventory Management Systems
Experience on tracking Warehouse operations activities including but not limited to receiving and issuing materials and keeping maintenance records
Understanding of Supply Chain Process for the Construction Industry
Advanced use of Microsoft Excel
