AWC Staff Services are looking for aSenior Authorised Person (High Voltage) to join the team installing and maintaining distribution networks and ensures reliable connections for customers. carrying out electrical planned work customer connections and network reinforcement.
Package:60000 - 90000 (DOE) 25 days annual leave plus 8 days bank holiday.Pension scheme.Life Assurance.Private health care. Company car and fuel card
Duties
- Provide technical support for the project teams
- Have an in depth knowledge of the client Distribution Safety Rules
- Development and implementation of Safety documentation including liaison with outage planning
- Preparation of switching schedules via the PowerOn software application.
- Isolate and Earth High Voltage apparatus and put people to work via a Permit to Work
- Issue Sanction for Test and undertake requiredtesting
- Issue Limitation of Access documents where required
- Monitor the progress of sites under his operational charge to ensure full compliance with the clients Distribution Safety Rules
- Where required attend Client progress meetings pre-start meetings and client audits.
- Identify and resolve operational issues raised on site
- Provide technical and operational support for projects at a concept stage to ensure robust cost effective build solutions.
- Support and mentor other members of the team to enhance their technical knowledge
- Assist/Review in the creation of project outage programmes
Skills & Experience
- Extensive experience of working on and around the High Voltage distribution network
- Sound understanding of engineering policy procedure and legislation in addition to sound decision making skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Able to identify and develop processes within operations to improve out puts and measure success.
- The ability to communicate and engage with internal and external stakeholders.
- Competent 11kV 33kV or 132kV SAP on an established DNO Distribution Network
Qualifications
Qualified to HNC / Degree Level in Electrical Engineering orequivalent
Start: ASAP
Duration: Permanent Position
Rate: 60000 - 90000 per annum (DOE)
