Job Description

This position will serve the Cascade Index and Entiat school districts for the 2025-2026 school year. This position is full time 200 days and the assignment will start on August 4 2025. This position will close on Tuesday May 27 2025 at 5:00 p.m.General Responsibilities:Under the direction of an Assistant Director for Special Education the Special Education Program Manager provides educational leadership and direction for school district special education programs within the 33 school district members of the ESD 112 Special Education :The full salary range for this position is $94203.20 - $114628.80. Offers are made at the beginning of the range.Essential Functions/Other FunctionsEssential Functions: Under the direction of a Sepcial Education Assistant Director in accordance with mentoring plan:
  1. Use data research and best practices to design and lead special education programs and services that provide special education students with a free and appropriate public education in the least restrictive environment.
  2. Coordinate programs and services to identify assess place and serve eligible students special education services and ensure student progress.
  3. Assign supervise evaluate and develop special education staff to support the educational needs of special education students.
  4. Build and maintain productive relationships and strong partnerships with families school district staff community agencies; and local state and federal government entities.
  5. Manage the day-to-day special education program operations for the Special Education ESA member districts to maximize resources and assure a safe efficient and effective learning environment for students and staff.
  6. Assure compliance with all federal state agency and school district laws rules regulations and procedures that govern students with disabilities.
Other Functions:
  1. Other duties as assigned.
Minimum/Preferred Qualifications & SkillsMinimum Qualifications:
  1. Hold or eligible to hold a valid Washington teaching certificate or ESA certification.
  2. Masters degree.
  3. Three years teaching or other certificated experience (e.g. school psychologist speech pathologist physical therapist).
Preferred Qualifications:
  1. One year of educational leadership experience that includes employee supervision and evaluation.
  2. Experience designing curriculum and instructional strategies for special education populations.
  3. Experience delivering professional development to teachers and support staff.
  4. Administrative experience serving special education populations.
Working Conditions/Employment RequirementsWorking Conditions:
  1. School building work setting office environment and classroom setting.>
  2. Travel to assigned districts in ESD 112 Special Education ESA service region.
Employment Requirements:
  1. Successful completion of a criminal history fingerprint check through the Washington State Patrol and FBI.
