Digital Consultants is seeking an MECM (formerly SCCM) Administrator to support software deployment patch management operating system deployment and inventory and reporting for US Army North located at Fort Sam Houston a US Army post in San Antonio TX.
Duties to include:
- Reviews test plans/procedures and ensures they meet the objectives of the contractual requirements and participates in the testing process to validate requirements.
- Interface with other IT technical personnel users and vendor support service groups to ensure escalation to the point of problem resolution is reached during outages or periods of degraded system performance.
- Coordinates the planning design installation and sustainment of Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Management (MECM)
- Designs creates and builds MECM solutions.
- Identify vulnerabilities and work with Information Assurance personnel on reporting and mitigation strategies. Provide a prioritization scheme for systems/applications.
- Responsible for understanding end-user computing environment and providing guidance and recommendations to customers based on industry best practices for Windows OS Management including software deployments patch management and OS Deployment
- Troubleshoot all areas of MECM / SCCM as required.
- Meet regularly with government and team managers to understand priorities and to ensure the successful completion of deliverables.
- Consistently meet deadlines established by management and is accountable for adhering to established procedures and communicating risks issues and solutions.
- Ability to work within the confines of a set time schedule or overtime.
- Responsible for scheduling and delivering software deployments to designated workstations.
- Knowledge of Automatic Deployment Rules
- Diagnosing and resolving IT operations failures.
- Support surge requirements 24 hours a day 7 days a week during key exercises or real-world events.
- 5 years of experience as a Systems Administrator
- Knowledge of computer systems administration
- 8 years experience with MECM or SCCM to include troubleshooting isolating and managing a hardware and software patching environment for a large enterprise-level network
- Experience managing the system vulnerability identification and resolution process to support network accreditation.
- Clearance: Active Secret
- Education: High School Diploma or equivalent
- Certifications: DoD 8570.01-M IAT Level II certification
