Responsibilities
Provide support for developing and achieving the goals of the Lead Prevention Grants Work with local town personnel family serving organizations businesses and other partners to engage stakeholders for community level environmental change Promote awareness of lead hazards and direct education to target populations Advocate to promote policy development to affect environmental change Plan and organize events to increase community awareness of Public Health Initiatives Use educational and promotional materials to reach target populations of the project Collaborate with CHCC Director/Staff to develop and design media campaigns and support website/social media accounts Track activities and complete required reporting monthly/quarterly Participate in required trainings and other trainings as appropriate to maintain expertise and skills to perform job functions Incorporate cultural responsiveness into all planning and evaluation activities Prepare and maintain reports records and documents pertaining to funding sources using Word & Excel Stay current on research and data related to grant initiatives
Qualifications
Bachelors degree preferred in Public Health Education or a related field with at least 2 years of relevant experience in community health policy change housing issues municipal management or engaging diverse partners (e.g. immigrants refugees families with low-income individuals facing housing insecurity property owners). Demonstrated success in leadership community organizing meeting facilitation and public relations/public speaking. Strong computer skills proficiency in Microsoft Suite; Proficiency in Social Media Web Design and Graphic Design is advantageous. Ability to develop press releases design promotional materials and create presentations. Must have reliable transportation for local travel and be available for occasional evening and weekend commitments within the community.
