Interior Designer
Salary: $60k - 85k depending on experience

THE COMPANY
Our client a successful Architecture Design and Planning firm with a studio in Edmontonis currently looking to add a dynamic Interior Designer to their team. This firm is known for their creative collaborative and conscientious design and has an impressive portfolio of work across Western Canada.
THE JOB
In this role the Interior Designer will provide planning services to ensure optimal use of space and will develop occupancy and logistical options to achieve client needs. They will work both autonomously and in teams to develop design concepts plans and forecasts according to client needs with consideration to factors such as cost budget timelines context and location. Projects will include commercial mixed use community civic and public spaces.
This role will have you working independently within a mid sized teamand you will take responsibility for all aspects of the delivery of projects including conceptual design and design development coordination of design production contract administration and project management. From a technical standpoint you will render design ideas in the form of 3-D renderings working drawings plans models and schemes using Revit and CAD software as well as other programs. If an an intermediate or senior level in the firm you will work alongside the principals and associates to ensure project deliverables are met whilst also liaising with clients to ensure successful project delivery.
WHATS REQUIRED
To be successful in this role you will possess either a diploma or degree in Interior Design and will ideally have between 2 and 12 years years of industry experience. You will have experience working on a range of project types including some larger projects. Commercial or public project experience is also an of building issues building and safety codes the range of relevant products and materials ergonomics and applicable industry standards and regulations is also important. Finally a creative outgoing and committed attitude with excellent communication skills is essential for this role. Candidate must be able to be physically present in Edmonton.
