Job Description

JOB TITLE:

Financial Reporting Senior

SUPERVISION RECEIVED:

Reports to the Director of Technical Accounting and Reporting. Operates in a highly collaborative remote workplace environment. Expected to exercise sound judgment and initiative in the execution of responsibilities.

JOB SUMMARY:

The Financial Reporting Senior will be a key contributor within the Corporate Finance organization. This position will have primary responsibility for supporting financial reporting duties and be responsible for various technical accounting tasks during month-end close. The ideal candidate is highly self-motivated organized thorough and focused on continuous improvement.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Preparation of month-end close and financial reporting schedules.
  • Assist in the accurate and timely preparation documentation and submission of the Companys SEC filings including related disclosure support and formal tie-out procedures.
  • Coordinate with external auditors during quarterly reviews and the annual audit including preparation of audit support documentation.
  • Complete work related to technical accounting topics such as stock compensation debt derivatives ASC 842 leases and acquisitions and divestitures.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure compliance with reporting requirements and to support business operations.
  • Conduct technical accounting research and contribute to ad-hoc projects and continuous process improvements.
  • Maintain internal controls over financial reporting in compliance with SOX requirements.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:

  • Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and SEC reporting requirements.
  • Proven technical accounting expertise in stock compensation debt derivatives ASC 842 leases and acquisitions and divestitures.
  • Proficiency with financial reporting systems.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced remote environment.

EDUCATION/REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelors and/or Masters degree in Accounting Finance or related field required. CPA preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years of accounting experience or a combination of accounting and industry experience related to reporting and monthly close processes.
  • Ability to work independently demonstrate initiative and exercise sound judgment in a fast-paced and evolving environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy of work product.
  • Highly effective planning organizational analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to collaborate with various teams across the organization.
  • Experience with GL systems and ability to navigate large data sets.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word Excel and PowerPoint.
