Job Description
Job Purpose
TO SUPPORT SECONDARY ROAD MOVEMENTS FROM ALL COPPER/ALUMINIUM WAREHOUSES AND MOVEMENT OF PROJECT CARGO FROM PORT TO SILVASSA/TALOJA AND MAUDA PLANT. OWNERSHIP OF LOGISTICS CONTROL ROOM ALERTS & ACTIVITIES.

Supporting Actions
Rate Negotiation and Online Bidding
- Coordination with Bidding agency
- Timely preparation of RFQ
- Arranging and Uploading Bulk documents
- Monitoring online bidding
- Offline negotiation if required in case of freight hike
Support in RP Preparation and Approval
- Preparing Bid Tab
- Preparing proposal
- Summary/comparison of freights
- Support in uploading documents in portal
- Follow up with all consents as per DOA
Support in issuance of Agreements as per approved RP
- Preparation of Agreement document as per RFQ and approved RP
- Getting it signed with authorized signatories and vendors
- Timely issuance of Agreement to the vendors and keeping records of all agreements
- Timely collection and monitoring of BG
Timely payment to the vendors as per contract terms
- Coordination with vendors for timely submission of transport bills for copper and Aluminium both
- Checking and approving all secondary bills for final processing
- Coordination with respective plant finance team for timely release of payments
Freight Updation in OTM System
- Fortnightly calculation of freight as per change in Diesel/fuel price
- Circulation of freight price to all vendors on fortnightly basis
- Uploading revise freight in OTM System for individual vendors
Project Cargo Movement
- Freight invitation and negotiation as and when required for project cargo movements
- Getting approval of project cargo freight from authorized concern
- Sharing the rates with respective plants
- Coordination with vendor for timely pickup and delivery to respective units
- Coordination with Vendors and Unit Finance for processing of bills
Tracking of in transit vehicles
- Coordinating with all the vendors for in transit vehicle
- Getting dispatch reports on daily intervals
- Informing to concerns if there is any delay or abnormal enroute
Coordination for Reverse Logistics
- Coordination with vendors for any transit damage/sales rejection from warehouses/customers
- Coordination with vendors for timely lifting of rejection
- Coordination with plant concerns on sending rejection due to space constraint
Control Room Ownership
- Creating Logistics Control Room
- Visibility on truck availability in circuit
- Escalation matrix review on regular basis
- Performance review for Tracking Vendors on regular basis.
- Monitoring route deviation Long halt Over Speeding alerts etc.
- Monitoring of transit days of all routes.
- Vehicle type deployment report for all plants.
- Point of Action
- Highlighting deviations.
- Monitoring Rail/Shipping/Warehouse activities from Control Room.
