Deputy Home Manager 30000 Residential Care Learning Disabilities

Our client is seeking a compassionate confident and committed Deputy Home Manager to support the running of a vibrant residential care home for people with learning disabilities. This is more than just a job its a chance to help create a warm inclusive and fun environment where every resident is supported to live life to the fullest.

The service provides personalised care within a homely and stimulating setting with excellent leisure and therapy facilities to promote wellbeing and independence. The Deputy Home Manager will play a key role in supporting the team and ensuring high standards of care are maintained.

This full-time role is 40 hours per week primarily worked between 9:00am and 5:00pm but flexibility is required to meet the needs of the service and residents.

What Were Looking For

  • Level 3 Health and Social Care qualification (or above)
  • Previous experience supporting adults with learning disabilities in a residential or supported living setting
  • Strong working knowledge of CQC regulations and safeguarding procedures
  • Excellent communication organisational and leadership skills
  • A caring and flexible approach with a commitment to empowering others

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the Home Manager in the day-to-day running of the service
  • Lead coach and support a dedicated care team to deliver outstanding person-centred support
  • Promote a positive engaging and therapeutic environment
  • Ensure care plans and risk assessments are up to date and in line with CQC standards
  • Champion safeguarding dignity and residents rights at all times
  • Assist with rota planning staff supervision and team development
  • Build strong relationships with residents families and professionals
  • Act as a role model for best practice in learning disability care
