Job Description

Membership Experience Officer

Temporary Full Time until15/05/2026 (Flexible)

Band 4A - starting at $70961.56 super RDO (RDO applicable for full time 38 hours per week only)

The Member Experience team is looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated individual to temporary backfill a full time Membership Experience Officer position. Enjoy a flexible working environment which includes a WFH Hybrid Working Model Rostered Day Off (RDO applicable for 38-hours per week only) and flexible working hours.

Position Objectives:

  • To perform a range of administrative tasks that adequately track membership sales trends processes and retention figures.
  • To assist the Member Experience Team Leader to meet budget targets.
  • To participate in all Member Experience events that support the on-going commitment that Yarra Leisure has to the greater community
  • To assist and facilitate all training and development needs within the Member Experience Portfolio
  • To engage and support all partnerships that fall under the Yarra Leisure and Customer Experience portfolio.
  • To be a Member Experience champion within the business that leads and demonstrate member first best practice.
  • To respond to customer feedback in a timely and effective manner.

Key Responsibilities and Duties:

  • To assist in the coordination of the membership retention process including analysis and follow up.
  • Make recommendations for continuous improvement of the member experience.
  • To assist in the coordination of the customer feedback process.
  • To respond to membership enquiries.
  • To follow up on all Corporate Partnerships processes and outcomes.
  • To support other portfolios with all member experience initiatives that they undertake and report on findings.

Accountability and Extent of Authority:

  • The Membership Experience Officer is directly accountable to the Member Experience Team Leader and needs to provide efficient and effective assistance in the coordination and implementation of Yarra Leisure retention strategy
  • Knowledge and compliance with City of Yarra Leisure Service procedures for safety training purchasing document controls internal quality audits corrective and preventative action customer complaints and control of non-conforming products and services.
