Aerospace Coordinator-Track Faculty

The Department of Aerospace at Middle Tennessee State University invites applicants for a coordinator-track faculty position (#101050) at the rank of instructor. The start date for the position is August 1 2025.
The successful candidate will be expected to teach introductory aerospace courses and other courses related to their experience or certification undertake a limited amount of collaborative research within the department and be actively involved in university and professional service. Additionally the candidate will be expected to lead the departments initiatives in student wellness and mental health awareness. The successful candidate will be required to teach classes in traditional on-campus classrooms online and off-campus locations.
A masters degree in aerospace aviation management or a closely related field is required by the appointment date. Applicants with a bachelors degree in aerospace aviation management or a closely related field with the required experience listed below will be considered in lieu of a masters degree.
Applicants with a masters degree in aerospace aviation management or a closely related field are required to have three (3) years of full-time aerospace industry or military aviation work experience or one (1) year of certified flight instructor (CFI) experience by the appointment date. Applicants with a bachelors degree inaerospace aviation management or a closely related field are required to have five (5) years of full-time aerospace industry or military aviation work experience or two (2) years of certified flight instructor (CFI) experience by the appointment date.
FAA Certified Flight Instructor ratings are required.
Applicants with collegiate teaching experience or experience coordinating or managing mental health wellness programs or other student communication and outreach initiatives will receive special consideration.
