Job Description

At least sixty percent of Gem Prep students will graduate high school with an associates degree and the remainder will graduate with at least 18 college credits. During the elementary years Gem Prep believes in building a strong academic foundation to prepare students for the rigorous learning environment in grades floating teacher position is a full member of the Gem Prep Faculty. This position is not assigned to a specific class but would be called on to continue instruction in the event of a faculty absence or need across our Treasure Valley Campuses. Floating teachers are expected to understand and support Gem Preps mission school culture and operational practices. This includes but is not limited to forming positive relationships with students attending all staff meetings and trainings and timely and professional communication with families and floating teachers will be able to adapt to fluid circumstances. Though they do not bear primary responsibility for any one class they may be called on to step into a variety of classes on any given day/week. These faculty members are professionals who are expected to maintain confidentiality exhibit professional behavior and display a positive attitude. Salary for a certified teacher is $52408.00 annually and for non-certified staff $118.00 per day. ***Please note this position is for the 25-26 school year***ResponsibilitiesProvides students with a supportive orderly and interactive classroom environment where learning takes as an educator and works directly with divisional heads to implement and assist with day-to-day to school policies in all areas of student as an example to colleagues in manners of classroom management teaching methods and school faculty in providing academic guidance to duties as at Gem PrepGem Prep focuses on hiring and developing great employees with high expectations and provides robust support to meet those expectations.
