You will work with consumers involved in the legal system who need assessment and treatment competency evaluations aid in sentencing evaluations group programming and support with their legal system endeavors. You will conduct groups and work with community providers court systems public defenders judges consumer families and support systems. You will also be involved with conducting virtual visiting and arranging in-person visitation for consumers arranging discharges and scheduling follow-up appointments in accordance with treatment team recommendations. Working alongside a dynamic team of professionals you will serve as a member of the multi-disciplinary team providing input into consumers progress needs and the development of treatment goals. In addition you will conduct biopsychosocial and risk assessments with consumers for presentation to the multi-disciplinary team for the treatment and goal planning process.
In this position you will play a vital role in ensuring the safety and well-being of consumers in a secure treatment unit. You will work closely with consumers who may experience episodes of escalation and require support during crises. You will also need to have a thorough understanding of licensing bodies and the requirements for licensing in order to provide the best care possible. Additionally you will be expected to participate in committees and be able to manage a fast-paced work environment with a high level of detail and adaptability. Familiarity with theCode of Ethicsof the National Association of Social Workers is essential for this role as you will be working with individuals in an involuntary setting and must adhere to ethical standards.
