Lamoille Union Middle and High School seeks a Home-to-School Liaison. The Home-to-School Liaison will Promote student engagement by connecting families with community-based resources; strengthening strategies that encourage family involvement in schools; assist in gathering information and developing systems to enhance communication and relationships between school personnel community resources and families. Help student teams to problem solve issues around attendance and engagement with Responsibilities: as a liaison between the school students families and community-based agencies to help families access community-based services and make referrals to outside agencies when as a liaison between the school and community-based agencies providing educational with families to develop consistent home/school plans aimed at assisting the social emotional attendance/truancy and school engagement of students.4. Serve on the schools intervention team and other student teams as needed.5. Maintain appropriate confidentiality of family and maintain a list of community resources available to students and their with families whenever necessary and participate in student meetings for the purpose of supporting the student in school data and information to aid the school and district in promoting equity and access across the school and district.9. Help create successful two way communication systems between the school and home and a positive educational experience for the students and :Bachelors degree in a related field and knowledgeable about engagement and truancy (Successful leadership experience in the areas of equity anti-racism and restorative practices preferred.)Excellent writing research and public speaking skills outstanding organizational and planning abilities strong ability to work effectively with individuals and groups knowledge in curriculum and evidence-based instructional methods and theory desire to serve as a team player ability to facilitate groups problem solving and conflict resolution skills leadership of public education and the intersection with community organizations that support the success and wellbeing of students and families.
