Job Description

Assist teachers with daily classroom activities support small group or independent study and monitor student progress. Help improve instruction and support campus objectives.

Responsibilities also include assisting with student behavior and helping to resolve parent/student issues in a timely and effective manner.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Assist with instructional equipment and displays maintain a safe instructional area and perform clerical duties.
  • Provide general assistance to campus/department operations.
  • Participate in professional development activities.
  • Support administration of state-mandated testing and ensure compliance with regulations.
  • Follow all applicable policies and perform additional duties as assigned.
Special Knowledge & Skills
  • Familiarity with district and classroom procedures.
  • Understanding of techniques used to assist students with special needs.
  • Effective communication skills both written and verbal.
  • Proficiency with standard computer applications.
  • Ability to interact positively with staff and community.
  • Willingness to engage in team building and collaborative decision-making.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 3 months of related experience.
  • Experience working with students with special needs preferred.
Work Environment

This role operates in a professional non-smoking school setting that can be busy with moderate noise and frequent interruptions. Use of standard office equipment is required.
