Were seeking a dynamic and customer-obsessed Software Development Manager to lead the charge in designing developing and maintaining highly scalable distributed services for Ads Marketing org. As a key player in our organization youll partner with PMs TPMs Scientists and Engineers to shape the future of Ads Marketing technology.

Key job responsibilities
* Lead the delivery of large-scale high-impact initiatives through direct reports and cross-functional collaboration.
* Partner with stakeholders and senior leadership to develop product strategies roadmaps and detailed requirements for our marketing tech platform.
* Drive architectural decisions and influence the development of complex features for Ads storefront and Amazon Ads Academy as well as foundational services such as a CDP.
* Bring strong data-driven business and technical judgment to decisions assessing risks and creating the right sense of urgency for delivery.
* Define mechanisms to optimize team output and collaboration within the team and with partners.
* Develop the teams long-term technical strategy based on our business goals and emerging challenges
* Hire and develop top talent manage both high and low performers and foster an entrepreneurial spirit within the team.

- 3 years of engineering team management experience
- 7 years of working directly within engineering teams experience
- 3 years of designing or architecting (design patterns reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
- 8 years of leading the definition and development of multi tier web services experience
- Knowledge of engineering practices and patterns for the full software/hardware/networks development life cycle including coding standards code reviews source control management build processes testing certification and livesite operations
- Experience partnering with product or program management teams

- Experience in communicating with users other technical teams and senior leadership to collect requirements describe software product features technical designs and product strategy
- Experience in recruiting hiring mentoring/coaching and managing teams of Software Engineers to improve their skills and make them more effective product software engineers
