Social Studies Teacher
1.0 FTE Continuing
Wenatchee High School
DESCRIPTION: Teach grades 9-12 social studies which may include US History World History Citizen Washington and CWP. Ability to relate to high school students. Plan implement and evaluate classroom instruction consistent with building and district curriculum. Report pupil progress to parents. Support programs and building/district in-service education programs. Attend building/ district meetings and conferences as required. Other related duties
QUALIFICATIONS: Valid Washington state certification with appropriate endorsement(s). Evidence of excellent human relations skills. Evidence of exemplary organizational and planning skills. Evidence of ability to work effectively with students parents and staff. Ability to work as a team player and understand the needs of high school aged students. Experience teaching social studies to high school students is preferred. Attendance and punctuality are important functions of this position. Requires prolonged sitting or standing.
