Northern Lights Program Manager

Boeing Defense Space & Security (BDS) Space Intelligence & Weapons Systems (SI&WS) is seeking a Mid-Level Engineering Manager/Program Manager with a strong background in Operations & Engineering to join our Government Systems Operations team in Aurora CO.

As part of the Government Space Operations Engineering Capability the Northern Lights Program Manager manages the day-to-day activities of the Northern Lights Program directly managing a multi-skilled team resident at a customer facility in Aurora CO. The Program Manager develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers stakeholders peers partners and direct reports.

Position Responsibilities

  • Leads an Operations & Maintenance organization performing ground systems operations and maintenance and flight engineering

  • Manages develops and motivates approximately 20 employees on the Northern Lights program

  • Performs employee engagement activities to recruit and retain a highly skilled workforce

  • Represents Boeing while interfacing directly with customers consultants and senior government officials

  • Communicates and coordinates with a wide variety of contractor and government mission partners to ensure joint success of our missions

  • Applies program management as well as mission execution best practices across the program

  • Performs program management technical responsibilities including maintaining systems health and safety and mission performance

  • Guides oversees and approves technical approaches products and processes

  • Manages program cost schedule budgets EACs and LRBP

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the listed location.

This position requires an active TS/SCI U.S. Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required) with a positively adjudicated counter-intelligence (CI) polygraph. (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active.)

Basic Qualifications

  • 2 or more years experience in Personnel Management

  • 2 or more years experience in Program or IPT Leadership roles

  • 2 or more years experience with government contract types for example: Time & Materials Firm Fixed Price Cost Plus etc.

  • 2 or more years experience performing financial management responsibilities

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous Program Management experience

  • Experience interfacing with US Government operations customers

  • Experience recruiting hiring and staffing a multi-skilled team

  • Experience leading a team at a government client location

Relocation:
