At the Department of Climate Change Energy the Environment and Water (DCCEEW) we are currently seeking to appoint a strategic and detail-oriented Senior Archivist to deliver records and information services programs that support compliant and sustainable information management.
About the role
In this role you will provide expert advice on the retention disposal and transfer of records and information and lead the development and implementation of archival systems that preserve the departments organisational history and ensure compliance.
This role is central to ensuring compliance with legislative requirements preserving records of historical and operational value and enhancing access to key documentation across the organisation.
You will work closely with the Director and Records Manager to provide strategic input into records and information management planning including the integration of IT systems. from retention through to secure disposal. A key part of your role will also involve promoting and delivering archival training programs to facilitate the consistent capture of both inactive and active records into the Departments records management system. You will also ensure governance frameworks are embedded while maintaining compliance with legislative and regulatory requirements.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys building systems from the ground up thrives on challenge and is ready to shape the future of our archival services.
