Spotsylvania County Public Schools is seeking an experienced financial secretary to join the team at Cedar Forest Elementary home of the Wolves! In this role you willprovide secretarial support to the schools administrative office while also handing financial tasks including department payroll and report a member of the schools administrative support team you may also assist with any projects or tasks related to the goals objectives and programs of the building or department assigned.
Essential Job Functions:
Receives and screens visitors staff members telephone calls and incoming mail personally
responds to inquiries by making decisions which in the employees judgment do not require the supervisors attention.Organizes the flow of correspondence and other pertinent data establishes and maintains a
filing system that provides for the efficient operation of the department while maintaining confidentiality.Prepares produces and makes appropriate distribution of all correspondence including letters
memoranda; reports recommendations notices orders requests schedules etc and any
other necessary informational items.Prepares necessary informational materials for the department for which they are assigned i.e.
assigning and completing necessary paperwork for substitute teachers scheduling bus drivers for field trips.Aids with registration procedures for new students.
Establishes and coordinates the efficient operation of the office receipts and disbursement of
funds in accordance with budget allocations.Maintains complete records of all financial transactions.
Prepares monthly bank reconciliation for the Accounting Department.
Prepares the monthly annual reports and records in compliance with auditors regulations.
Monitors and reports financial information to the supervisor.
