Job Duties

Join Our Team as a Trainer/Instructor at Western State Hospital!

Western State Hospital is seeking a dynamic and engaging Trainer/Instructor to support the professional development of our dedicated healthcare staff. This position is Monday through Friday; individual might have to work weekends to train part time students and providers.

To provide a variety of training instruction and services to Western State Hospital employees and students. Assist in design and development of course curricula and course evaluation. Data entry maintain all Mandatory training at 100 % for all active employees. Keep training materials updated and in compliance with Departmental and Hospital Instruction. Promote whats taught in the classroom. Input training modules into web base program and make accessible to employees. Tracking employees training. Have knowledge of media equipment and good computer skills. Good organization to accommodate employee at different levels of learning. Assist in creating and posting training calendars. Assist in daily operation of Staff Development. such as sitting up conference rooms to accommodate those requesting and the daily schedule. Provide assistance to those that walks into the department needing computer passwords etc. assistance.

Minimum Qualifications

- High School graduate. Therapeutic Options and CPR Instructor Certification.
- Experience and knowledge of computer programs required.
- Experience as a trainer and instructor
- Candidate must be able to obtain Therapeutic Options of Virginia Instructor certification within 90 days of employment.
- Certified CPR Instructor.
- Knowledge of Trauma Inform Care.
- Knowledge of web base programs.
- Good computer skills.
- Work in a team environment.
- Able to multitask.
- Exceptional people skills.

Additional Considerations

- Performing data entry tasks as well as experience in administrative capacity is preferred as well as knowledge of COVLC Learning Center.
- Bilingual
- Veteran or veteran spouse.
