Job Description

Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Director of Embedded & Hardware Systems to lead and evolve our multidisciplinary engineering team. This executive-level role oversees the design development and execution of complex hardware systems for defense-related communication technologies. The ideal candidate brings a strong foundation in electrical or mechanical engineering and a proven track record of leading large-scale teams managing program execution and developing long-term strategic initiatives.

Responsibilities

Lead a 160 person engineering organization across RF antenna PCB mechanical and embedded disciplines.

Develop and execute strategic technical roadmaps in alignment with product and business goals.

Oversee engineering performance across multiple programs ensuring quality timeliness and budget adherence.

Approve cost estimates schedules and technical decisions across the hardware portfolio.

Drive innovation and continuous improvement across hardware development and integration processes.

Ensure workforce readiness through training mentorship and leadership development.

Collaborate with program management business development and executive teams to align resources and execution strategies.

Support proposal development and oversee engineering content in bids and new business initiatives.

Requirements

Bachelor s degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering required; advanced degree preferred.

Minimum 15 years of engineering experience including leadership of large technical teams.

Extensive background in the defense or aerospace industry with active or eligible U.S. security clearance.

Strong technical knowledge across RF systems mechanical design embedded hardware/software and system integration.

Demonstrated success managing complex defense program lifecycles proposals and technical reviews.

Exceptional communication and executive leadership skills.
