Job Description

Section Chief Pediatric Neurology

Location: St. Christophers Hospital for Children Philadelphia PA
Position Type: Full-Time Leadership Academic & Clinical

Position Overview The Section Chief will provide strategic leadership foster clinical excellence and help re-establish the Pediatric Neurology Residency Program set to launch in Fall 2025. In addition to clinical responsibilities this role includes oversight of educational and operational functions offering opportunities for mentorship research and innovation. Key Responsibilities
  • Provide leadership and oversight for the Pediatric Neurology team consisting of 4 physicians and 2 nurse practitioners

  • Expand the scope and reach of the divisions multidisciplinary outpatient services

  • Participate in inpatient and outpatient care including shared day and night call coverage

  • Collaborate with institutional leadership to develop and relaunch the Pediatric Neurology Residency Program

  • Advance academic and research initiatives within the division

  • Contribute to the growth of the hospitals Sleep Lab Center which supports approximatelypatients annually in a dedicated 10-bed unit

  • Promote excellence in patient-centered care team development and community engagement

Qualifications
  • MD or DO required; Board Certification in Pediatric Neurology

  • Valid Pennsylvania Medical License or eligibility to obtain one

  • Minimum of 5 years of leadership experience in pediatric neurology or a related subspecialty

  • Demonstrated excellence in clinical care education and program development

  • Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams in a complex academic medical center environment
