Job Description
Job Title: CT Technologist Traveler
Department: Computerized Tomography
Organization: Athena Medtech
Location: Non-local candidates only; must reside 75 miles from the facility
Athena Medtech is seeking a qualified and experienced CT Technologist Traveler to join our imaging team. This position offers the opportunity to work with advanced imaging technology in a collaborative healthcare environment supporting diagnostic excellence and patient care.
Work Schedule-
Shift: 6:30 PM 7:30 AM (12-hour shifts)

Days: 3 shifts per week (Monday through Friday rotation)

Weekly Hours: 36 hours

On-Call: May include on-call hours Monday through Friday (6:30 PM 7:00 AM) and 24-hour weekend coverage; to be discussed during the interview

Experience: Minimum of 3 years as a CT Technologist

Licensure/Certification:
-
BLS certification required
-
ARRT (CT) certification strongly preferred

Preferred Systems Experience:
-
EHR: Epic
-
Imaging Software: McKesson GE CT systems
-

Operate CT imaging equipment to produce high-quality diagnostic images
-
Accurately position patients and follow imaging protocols for specific scans
-
Perform equipment warm-up routines and routine maintenance checks
-
Administer contrast media as prescribed following all safety protocols

Ensure proper sterilization and safety procedures for all radiologic equipment

Review images for technical quality before submission for interpretation

Follow physician instructions accurately and communicate effectively with care teams

Educate and reassure patients throughout the scanning process

Strong technical proficiency with CT systems and protocols

Attention to detail and accuracy in imaging and documentation

Excellent communication and patient care skills

Ability to adapt in a fast-paced team-oriented environment
