Job Description
Registered Nurse Cardiac Cath Lab (Full-Time)
Department: Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory
Location: Insert Facility or General Location if applicable
Employer: Athena Medtech
Schedule: Monday to Friday 7:00 AM 3:30 PM (Full-time 40 hours/week)
On-Call Requirements:

One weeknight per week

One weekend per month (Friday 5:00 PM Monday 7:00 AM)

One holiday per rotation
Contract Type: Full-time with on-call responsibilities
Experience Required: 2 3 years in a diagnostic and interventional cath lab setting
Athena Medtech is seeking a skilled and experienced Registered Nurse to join our dynamic Cardiac Cath Lab team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in both diagnostic and interventional procedures and be confident in managing critical care situations in a fast-paced high-acuity environment.
Key Responsibilities-
Prepare and position patients for cardiac catheterization and interventional procedures.

Administer moderate (conscious) sedation and perform continuous hemodynamic monitoring during procedures.

Develop implement and document patient-specific plans of care.

Assist with a range of interventional procedures including PCI intra-aortic balloon pump (IABP) insertion Impella support and temporary pacemaker placement.

Set up and manage specialized equipment and supplies before during and after procedures.

Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Accurately communicate patient status and procedural updates to healthcare team members.

Active RN license in the state of Michigan (or compact state).

Minimum of 2 3 years of experience in a cardiac catheterization laboratory setting.

Proficiency in administering moderate sedation and performing patient monitoring.

Strong clinical judgment and the ability to respond quickly to critical situations.

Willingness to participate in on-call rotations including evenings weekends and holidays.

Experience with interventional devices such as Impella and IABP.

Knowledge of EPIC EMR systems.
-
ACLS certification preferred.
