Job Description
Role & responsibilities
1. Financial Management & Reporting
- Oversee the preparation of financial statements reports and forecasts.
- Ensure timely and accurate monthly quarterly and annual financial closing.
- Develop and implement financial policies and procedures.
- Monitor cash flow working capital and overall financial performance.
2. Accounting Operations & Compliance
- Supervise general accounting accounts payable receivable and payroll.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards (GAAP/IFRS) and local tax regulations.
- Maintain accurate financial records and manage internal and external audits.
- Liaise with auditors and ensure adherence to all compliance requirements.
3. Budgeting & Cost Control
- Assist in budget preparation and monitor budget variances.
- Analyze cost structures and recommend cost-saving measures.
- Identify financial risks and implement controls to mitigate them.
4. Taxation & Regulatory Compliance
- Ensure timely filing of tax returns (GST VAT Income Tax etc..
- Stay updated on tax law changes and implement necessary adjustments.
- Coordinate with tax authorities and manage tax audits.
5. Team Leadership & Process Improvement
- Lead and mentor the accounting team to enhance productivity and efficiency.
- Streamline financial processes to improve accuracy and effectiveness.
- Implement best practices and automation in financial operations.
6. Strategic Decision-Making Support
- Provide financial insights and analysis to support business strategies.
- Assist in mergers acquisitions and investment evaluations.
- Work closely with senior management to drive financial growth and stability.
Preferred candidate profile
Qualifications:
- Professional certification (CA CPA CMA).
Experience:
- 8 years of experience in accounting/finance roles.
- At least 3-5 years in a managerial role.
- Experience in handling audits taxation and compliance.
Skills:
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial regulations.
- Expertise in financial planning budgeting and cost control.
- Excellent leadership analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.
