As a Software Engineer III - Cloud/AWS at JPMorgan Chase within Corporate Chief Data Analytics Office (CDAO) you will play a crucial role in an agile team focusing on the enhancement construction and delivery of trusted market-leading technology products in a secure stable and scalable manner. In this role your skills and contributions will have a significant impact on the business and your deep technical expertise and problem-solving methodologies will be applied to address a wide range of challenges across various technologies and applications.
Job responsibilities
- Executes software solutions design development and technical troubleshooting with ability to think beyond routine or conventional approaches to build solutions or break down technical problems
- Creates secure and high-quality production code and maintains algorithms that run synchronously with appropriate systems
- Produces architecture and design artifacts for complex applications while being accountable for ensuring design constraints are met by software code development
- Gathers analyzes synthesizes and develops visualizations and reporting from large diverse data sets in service of continuous improvement of software applications and systems
- Proactively identifies hidden problems and patterns in data and uses these insights to drive improvements to coding hygiene and system architecture
- Contributes to software engineering communities of practice and events that explore new and emerging technologies
- Adds to team culture of diversity equity inclusion and respect
Required qualifications capabilities and skills.
- Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 3 years applied experience.
- Deep knowledge of one or more programming language(s)(Eg: Java Python).
- AWS or EKS or Terraform Certifications.
- Knowledge AWS concepts including Athena/Glue/EMR/S3/SQS/SNS/Lambda etc.
- Proficient in AWS EKS/ECS Java/Python/Microservices based applications and Spring Boot.
- Knowledge of Terraform to build infrastructure in AWS.
- Knowledge of implementing DevOps practices using tools such as Docker Jenkins Spinnaker and Terraform.
- Hands-on experience with coding and testing microservices.
Preferred qualifications capabilities and skills
- Understanding public cloud technologies especially with AWS in the context of ML engineering workflows specifically featurization experimentation training and evaluation (Sagemaker/EMR)
