The Town of Brookline is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Temporary Office Assistant to provide administrative and clerical support to the Purchasing Division within the Finance Department. This full-time temporary position is expected to last approximately two to four months with a maximum duration of six months.
Candidates should have a high school diploma; an Associates degree or business training is preferred. At least one year of experience in a business office setting; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
The ideal candidate will be proficient in Microsoft Office (especially Word and Excel) comfortable with standard office equipment and able to manage multiple tasks with strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Experience in municipal operations or familiarity with procurement procedures is helpful but not required. A willingness to learn and work collaboratively with others is essential.
