Job Description
We are seeking a dynamic Junior Backend Engineer to be part of our squad to support our growing regional Product team here in Singapore as part of an international team of highly talented and motivated people.
Responsibilities:
- Designing and implementing the features which will be used across the global platform.
- Collaborate within cross-functional international teams to manage project priorities deadlines and deliverables driving holistic solutions.
- Contributing to designing and evolving the system architecture to meet current needs and support future growth and technologies.
- Enforcing coding standards and conducting thorough code reviews to maintain high-quality codebase. Implement automated testing frameworks to catch bugs early and ensure software reliability.
- Good understanding and independent application of cloud environment CI/CD testing and validation.
- Independently applies design patterns and best practices in reliability management (resiliency autoscaling monitoring alerting).
- Identifying and resolving complex technical issues in software and infrastructure continuously optimising for performance and scalability.
Qualifications :
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science or a related field or equivalent practical experience.
- Minimum 1 year of working experience in backend development.
- Practical experience with software architecture design patterns design principles algorithms and writing automated tests (unit integration and functional).
- Familiarity with microservices architecture and patterns aiding in the development of scalable and maintainable systems is a strong plus.
- Solid understanding of relational and distributed databases (normal forms ACID isolation levels index anatomy & concepts of distributed databases).
- Experience with the software development lifecycle and collaboration within cross-functional international agile teams.
- Strong communication skills in English both written and verbal with the ability to effectively collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
