Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Corporate Accountant to join our dynamic finance team. This person will be responsible for handling key accounting functions including bank reconciliations fixed asset accounting property tax filings assisting in month-end financial reporting and supporting the coordination of audit-related activities. Responsibilities

  • Perform monthly bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial records.
  • Prepare and maintain detailed schedules for various financial reports including monthly and annual close processes to ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance with company policies.
  • Manage fixed asset accounting including tracking asset acquisitions construction in progress depreciation disposals and related reporting.
  • Ensure timely and accurate property tax filings and manage related compliance requirements.
  • Assist in coordinating responses to requests from external auditors ensuring that all necessary documents and information are provided in a timely and organized manner.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies procedures and regulatory requirements. Support internal and external audits by providing required documentation and explanations.
  • Other reporting and analysis as requested by management.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance or related field
  • Three years of relevant accounting experience with preference for bank reconciliations journal entries and fixed asset accounting
  • Strong knowledge of US GAAP
  • Proficiency with accounting software preferably Microsoft Dynamics GP
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate with other departments and external parties
  • Desire to learn about the business and develop as a professional
