Job Description

The University of Chicagos Department of Neurological Surgery invites applications for a Research Assistant Professor in the area of Spinal Cord Injury. The appointees primary activity will be to conduct academic research in association with a faculty member or team. The appointee will also focus on developing an independent research program and should be able to secure federal funding within their first three years of employment. The research will involve preclinical regenerative medicine studies for the treatment of spinal cord injury.

Prior to the start of employment applicants must: 1) have a doctoral degree or equivalent in Molecular Biology or a related discipline; 2) completed post-doctoral training prior to the start of employment.
