Dual-Skilled Maintenance Fitter (Mechanical)
Location: St Neots
Contract Type: Full-Time Permanent
Salary: Up to 49500 Overtime

Are you an experienced Mechanical Fitter looking for a role that offers excellent pay varied work and a shift pattern that gives you 6 days off in every 10
Were recruiting on behalf of a well-established manufacturer in St Neots for a Dual-Skilled Maintenance Fitter to join their skilled and supportive maintenance team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a hands-on mechanically strong engineer who enjoys fault-finding keeping production moving and working with a wide range of equipment.
What Youll Be Doing:
Mechanical maintenance fault diagnosis and repairs across factory equipment
Supporting production teams with setups and equipment optimisation
Rapid response to breakdowns to keep operations running smoothly
Preventive maintenance (PPM) and ongoing reliability improvements
Fabrication and installation of machinery when required
Working safely and contributing to a strong safety culture
First-line response for site services (boilers chillers air compressors)
What Youll Need:
Recognised mechanical apprenticeship (City & Guilds NVQ or equivalent)
Experience maintaining production equipment in a fast-paced setting
Solid fault-finding skills with a hands-on proactive approach
Machining and/or welding experience
Ideally dual-skilled with some electrical knowledge
Familiarity with CMMS or maintenance logging systems
Extrusion experience and boiler/water system testing desirable
ONC/HNC or equivalent is a bonus
Reliable team-focused and safety-conscious attitude

Fantastic 10-day shift cycle: 2 days on (06:0018:00) 2 nights on (18:0006:00) 6 days off
