Job Description

  • Required Bachelors Degree from an accredited university
  • Preferred Masters Degree from an accredited university
  • Required Valid Texas teaching certification in a public or private school setting and Special Education endorsement
  • Required 3-5 direct experience
  • Proficiency in utilizing the district software and technology to create documents analyze data and write reports from the data etc.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in written and oral formats.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to details required to meet the goals of the position.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills work ethic and a collaborative work style.
  • Knowledge of state and federal special education laws.
  • Ability to communicate in Spanish is a plus.
  • Assist supervisor and/Director with system development revision and implementation to improve effectiveness of the program.
  • Collect analyze present and monitor data related to special education initiatives for the speech program (i.e.g SHARS SPP 11/12 and service match).
  • Provide consistent communication with contracted vendors through regularly scheduled meetings to discuss the acquisition of staff assignment of caseloads monitoring progress of these caseloads and disbursement of payroll information.
  • Confer regularly with Supervisor to discuss trends that may suggest the need for revised procedures
  • Maintain documentation for accountability purposes
  • Comply with all state and federal rules laws policies and guidelines related to special education
  • Establish collaborative relationships with campus staff administrators parents and external agencies
  • Track and distribute inventory of therapy materials assessment tools and protocols
  • Maintain professional competency by keeping abreast of current trends in special education laws ethics computer literacy and technology resources
  • Engage in professional behaviors that reflect integrity accountability and moral standards
