Job Description
- Adheres to Brodstone Healthcares Mission Vision and Values.

- Performs general nursing care to patients.
- Administers oral medications IM or Subcutaneous injections as ordered by provider.
- May be able to do certain treatments or procedures after training by RN and has been monitored and passed at timed intervals. Examples of procedures: EKGs cast removals aerosol treatments oxygen use.
- Prepares equipment and aids provider during treatments and examinations of patients.
- Admits patients to rooms screen patient for proper information prepares for physical examination maintain timely flow of patients ensuring preferences to emergency situations.
- Assists in scheduling additional patients exams or procedures.
- Responds to and refers incoming telephone calls.
- Instruct patients and family regarding medications and treatment instructions as informed by provider or may refer this to the triage nurse.
- Alert provider to phone messages from hospital or other physicians and handles appropriately.
- Follows correct procedures for the handling and disposing of biohazardous infectious waste.
- Attends and participates in departmental meetings / in-services Brodstone Healthcares quality improvement program etc.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
