Chief Operating Officer (COO) Confidential Search
Salt Lake City Utah On-Site Early-Stage Company
About the Opportunity:
A rapidly growing direct-to-consumer (DTC) manufacturer of premium consumer products in the outdoor industry is seeking an experienced operations leader to step in as Chief Operating Officer (COO). This confidential search is for a founder-led company looking to bring in mature strategic leadership to run daily operations and help scale the business to the next level.
This is a critical leadership hire ideal for someone who s served as a Director of Operations VP of Operations GM or early-stage COO and is ready to take full ownership of operational excellence and team leadership.
What You ll Own:
- Lead all internal operations including production supply chain fulfillment and customer experience
- Implement systems and processes to improve performance efficiency and profitability
- Serve as a trusted partner to the CEO and help translate vision into
- Provide strong leadership to a growing team mentoring department leads and setting performance expectations
- Bring stability and structure to a family-run business navigating its next phase of growth
Ideal Background:
- 8 years of operational leadership experience in a manufacturing consumer product or DTC environment
- Experience scaling an early-stage company or running day-to-day operations in a founder-led business
- Experience in implementing EOS (entrepreneurial operating system)
- Demonstrated success in team building change management and process optimization
- High EQ and maturity someone who can lead in complex environments and unify a team
- Passion for product consumer experience and hands-on leadership
- Must be based in (or willing to relocate to) the Salt Lake City area this is an on-site role
Compensation:
- Competitive base salary $130K $175K DOE)
- Performance-based bonus structure
- Long-term upside through stock appreciation rights or future equity tied to growth milestones
