ROLE SUMMARY
Pfizer has a proud heritage in the prevention of pneumococcal disease in the United States for 25 years. The pneumococcal vaccine franchise remains a significant focus for Pfizer especially following recommendations for PCV20 for the pediatric population and adults from 50 years and older. The USMA team has a substantial evidence generation plan to support PCV20 and future pneumococcal vaccines while remaining a critical partner for our commercial partners among other cross-functional groups within Pfizer.
This 9-month secondment allows you to gain experience on a priority brand for the company with a focus on evidence generation execution of launch planning for future pneumococcal next generation vaccine medical communication and engagement and cross-functional partnership. You will partner with the asset leads supporting both the pediatric and adult indications of PCV20.
ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
Develop and execute a medical education strategy including content creation supporting PCV20 vaccination in the US
Support initial launch preparedness plans for next generation pneumococcal vaccines including scientific engagement plans and evidence generation plans.
Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment of medical education and engagement plan across various channels with medical priorities
Provide vaccine medical expertise and support on behalf of the US Medical Affairs team to cross-functional partners
Partner cross-functionally within medical to ensure aligned KOLs activities to gather feedback and input into strategy development and execution
Provide medical review for medical education grants
Demonstrate expertise in communication across multiple channels including but not limited to live and virtual presentations in small or large settings written communication digital channels and telephone or virtual conversations
Ensure compliance with all Pfizer policies
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
Candidate demonstrates a breadth of diverse leadership experiences and capabilities including: the ability to influence and collaborate with peers develop and coach others oversee and guide the work of other colleagues to achieve meaningful outcomes and create business impact.
MD and 4 years; PhD/Pharm D (in infectious disease epidemiology or closely related field) and 5 years experience with additional research training in infectious disease public health epidemiology or close-related field.
Experience in vaccines infectious diseases epidemiology and public health
Demonstrated strong work ethic and proven track record of delivering high quality within timelines.
Clinical formulary and/or other management experience
Managed Care pharmaceutical industry and/or Quality Improvement
Data Analytics and/or HEOR activities with demonstrated strong methodological skills (study design data analysis and interpretation) in health services research
Demonstrate a breadth of diverse leadership experiences and capabilities including the ability to influence and collaborate with peers and create business impact
Demonstrated track record of high performance and excellence.
Ability to analyze define and convey complex concepts.
Strong interpersonal skills and excellent verbal communication and presentation skills.
Well-organized with the ability to be flexible prioritize multiple demands and effectively lead in a matrix organization.
