Role: Early Years Assistant
Hourly Rate: 13.68 15.00
Location: York
We are working on behalf of a friendly community-focused nursery in York that is seeking to appoint an Early Years Assistant. This welcoming setting is dedicated to providing a safe stimulating and caring environment where young children can explore learn and grow.
This role is ideal for someone who is enthusiastic nurturing and passionate about supporting children in the earliest stages of their development. Whether youre just starting out or looking to build on previous experience youll be part of a supportive team that values creativity play and curiosity.
The successful applicant will demonstrate a warm and patient manner excellent communication skills and a genuine interest in early childhood education. A willingness to learn and be hands-on is essential no two days are ever the same!
Some of the key responsibilities include:
Supporting children in their day-to-day learning play and routines
Assisting with activities that promote physical emotional and social development
Creating a nurturing stimulating environment where children feel safe and valued
Working closely with nursery staff to meet each childs individual needs
Promoting positive relationships with parents and carers
