As an Equal Opportunity Assistant you will assist with the Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) and annual affidavits (No Change Affidavits). You will provide guidance and technical assistance for related firms potential applicants contractors and district personnel regarding program requirements in program areas. In this position you will review and analyze DBE certification and annual affidavit applications for completeness as required by federal regulations and request additional information as necessary. You can expect to track and assign case numbers for initial applications and update all tracking sheets. You will also reconcile the electronic Unified Certification Program (UCP) database against DBE files and submissions. Additionally you will assist in determining whether financial data submitted by DBE firms conforms to the federal standards and create electronic folders to store the data.
