General Qualifications
- Bachelors degree or equivalent work-related experience
- Demonstrated working knowledge of computer applications including word processing spreadsheets data-base management and computer file management
- Demonstrated working knowledge of fundamental office skills including filing phone etiquette proofreading and keyboarding skills
- Demonstrated working knowledge of data management systems
- Preferred working knowledge of SIS and Skyward systems
Essential Job Responsibilities
- Oversees the district data management system currently Skyward and serves as the district contact person with Skyward
- Tests/troubleshoots/updates the SIS and district data management system (currently Skyward)
- Completes analysis and assessment of requested modifications to the district data management system and the SIS
- Maintains a working relationship with the network administrator as well as vendors to implement modifications regarding programs used by district employees (offices and classrooms)
- Answers inquiries and gives assistance concerning the SIS the district data management system and software used in the classroom
- Assists in assessing the need for and designing of special forms reports and/or documents for use with data management systems i.e. Skyward
- Maintains a knowledge of various computer software programs that share data whether through import/export or updating of information from one system to another
- Compiles data and provides reports from student data base to district users the state and other agencies as required
- Works with Finance and Human Resources EIS Support Specialist to ensure joint functionality of student data base
- Works jointly with Finance/HR EIS Support Specialist to complete state and federal reports i.e. CRDC
- Research and implement changes to enhance daily operations
- Trains new employees in the correct use of the SIS and the data management system
- Serves on Districts Technology Advisory Committee
- Provides assistance for integrating instructional technology into the Pre-K 12 curriculum
- Maintains aspects of standards-based report cards and custom reports using Crystal reports
- Maintains course master and mass schedule for all elementary students
- Assist with data uploads i.e. Project Lead the Way Xello IAR Renaissance Learning Follett-Destiny Discovery Education IXL and other software as needed
- Troubleshoot programs used by staff i.e. AlertNow CEO TalentEd
Reports to
Terms of Employment
- 237-day position; Wages hours terms and conditions of employment in accordance with the Collective Bargaining Agreement between the Board of Education and the Danville Education Association
