Direct the laboratory safety program including keeping labs in compliance for regulatory inspections. Develop novel methodologies as needed for the lab ensure the well-functioning of all laboratory spaces and equipment including setting up new general laboratory spaces for in vitro and in vivo work at Biosafety Level ( BSL )-2. Liaise with multiple domestic and international research partners (academic clinical and corporate). Conduct all laboratory associated ordering and track laboratory finance expenditures. Handle and process blood and urine samples (animal and human) ship track manage and receive category A and B shipments in accordance with International Air Transport Association ( IATA ) protocols interacting with international customs officials as needed. Lead projects to develop novel diagnostics within nephrology.
