The Simulation Center Operations Manager is responsible for the operational and fiscal oversight of the UND SMHS Simulation Center in the execution of its activities in support of its mission and the schools and universitys strategic goals. The Operations Manager is expected to develop and implement a business and operational model that supports the growing needs of the school and the university and expands partnerships with other North Dakota University System (NDUS) institutions and other external entities to effectively utilize the unique resources of the UND SMHS Simulation Center.
Leadership and Management of Simulation Center Operations and Staff
1. Lead the simulation center in accordance with the core/fundamental structural and operational standards promulgated by the Society for Simulation in Healthcare (SSH) Accreditation Council in the areas of mission and governance; program management; resource management; human resources; program improvement; integrity; and expanding the field.
2. Provide general administrative oversight for all simulation activities.
3. Work with the Medical Director the SIM-ND Medical Director and the Program Administrator to ensure that adequate funding programming and other necessary resources are available to support and facilitate the education training and where appropriate research needs of the school university and statewide affiliated partners.
4. Supervise and evaluate simulation center staff.

2. Maintain involvement in the preparation of proposals for external funding through grants contracts and awards monitors expenditures.
3. Oversee the management and maintenance of all the physical property of the Simulation Center
4. Oversee and prioritize the allocated income-generated and grant/contract funds.
5. Reviews expenditures to ensure budgetary compliance; adjusts category budgets as appropriate.
Outreach Fundraising and Marketing
1. Explore opportunities for research and collaboration within and outside of UND.
2. Complete and submit applications for alternate sources of revenue (grants donations endowments etc.)
3. In cooperation with the VPHA/Dean and the UND Alumni Association and Foundation develop and sustain state institutional industry corporate and foundation partnerships and sponsorships where appropriate for Simulation Center activities and events
4. Facilitate and coordinate ongoing networking and communication with external groups and stakeholders within the North Dakota health care workforce community; ensures the Centers budget is positioned to meet anticipated programmatic growth needs in the areas of personnel equipment and other infrastructure.
6. Represent the Simulation Center within and beyond the institution promoting resources and services and advocating for collaboration and support.
