Burr and Burton Academy seeks a part-time Board Certified Behavioral Analyst to enhance the capacity of teachers and support staff to address the social emotional and behavioral needs of all students within the classroom setting. This role is key in promoting inclusive practices reducing behavioral referrals and increasing student engagement and time spent in class. Since its founding in 1829 Burr and Burton has been an independent Vermont high school that serves the public. It serves as the local high school for area students while also attracting students from overseas. Situated at the foot of Mt. Equinox and overlooking picturesque Manchester Village Burr and Burton is a school with a proud tradition of educating students of diverse backgrounds and talents in a supportive and caring environment. Responsibilities:- Model and train staff in proactive classroom-based strategies to support students social-emotional academic and behavioral needs- Provide coaching and in-house professional development to support inclusive practices and Universal Design for Learning (UDL)- Collaborate with educators to ensure programming is aligned with students academic levels and supports differentiation- Support teachers in creating classroom schedules that incorporate strategic breaks to help students build stamina- Train staff to collect data for functional behavioral assessments and assist in the development of effective behavioral intervention plans- Promote systemic change to reduce out-of-class referrals and increase student success within general education settingsQualifications:- Current BCBA Certification: The Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) certification is a graduate-level certification in behavior analysis- Experience in behavioral coaching special education school counseling or related field- Strong knowledge of inclusive education practices differentiation and UDL- Ability to provide collaborative strengths-based support to educators- Effective communication and training skillsApplicants should submit a personal statement resume and three references (preferably in a single pdf document) to Jamaica Kaercher Assistant to the Headmaster at The posting will be removed from the schools website once the position is filled.
