Join us as a Payroll Team Leader and help us build a better Lancashire!

By ensuring the smooth operation of payroll services youll help maintain a motivated and supported workforce enabling high-quality public services and contributing to our efficient and customer-focused council.

As aPayroll Team Leader youll be at the heart of a high-performing team driving service excellence and innovation for more than 35000 employees in public sector organisations across the North West.

What youll be doing:

  • Support and manage the Payroll Team in the efficient administration of a quality accurate and timely payroll and pensions function in accordance with statutory legislative and contractual obligations.
  • Part of a team providing a professional payroll service working to strict monthly deadlines and achieving monthly performance targets.
  • Building strong relationships with stakeholders and resolving payroll issues.

  • Strong leadership and communication skills with a focus on service quality and continuous improvement.
  • Proven ability to manage change implement system enhancements and ensure compliance.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage customer interactions effectively including handling and resolving complaints to ensure positive outcomes.
