Job Description
Ashbury College is a leading not-for-profit independent day and boarding school for students in Grades 4 to 12 located in Canadas capital and the traditional unceded territory of the Anishinbe Algonquin Nation. We serve a diverse community of over 60 nationalities from around the National Capital Region the diplomatic community and international and domestic boarding students.

Based in central Ottawa Ashbury College is currently seeking a Senior School teacher for grades 9 and 10 Science who:
brings genuine enthusiasm and a high degree of creativity to each class they teach
consistently identifies ways to integrate technology into the curriculum
enjoys collaborative teaching
regularly incorporates inclusive teaching practices in the classroom and
is passionate about experiments and demonstrations.
Your education experience and qualifications include the following:
Member in good standing with the Ontario College of Teachers.
B. Ed and /or M. Ed ideally supplemented with a . or .
Experience teaching Ontario Grade 9 and 10 science curricula
Evidence of teaching enhanced by technology.
Highly organized with excellent attention to detail.
Demonstrated experience communicating with students parents / guardians.
History of adding to the full life of the school through coaching or leading educational interest groups
Fluency in oral and written French is an asset.
This is a one-year teaching position for the 2025-2026 academic year with an 84% teaching load based on 4 courses 2 co-curriculars facilitation of a Teacher Advisory Group and scheduled teaching on-calls.
Ashbury College provides a competitive compensation and benefits package including participation in the Ontario Teachers Pension Plan.
This appointment is effective starting late August 2025.
