About the role
We are currently looking for a Sample Preparer to join our Darwin Laboratory. Sample Preparers operate machinery to crush split and pulverise raw mineral samples in a laboratory environment. Conditions can be dusty. The primary responsibilitiesof the role include:

• Sorting samples
• Weighing samples
• Drying samples
• Operating splitters and crushers
• Reporting sequential mineral samples for correct compliance requirements
• Following all Intertek policies and procedures including regarding safety production quality and human resources

Selection criteria

The position would ideally suit an applicant with:

• Previous manual handling experience
• Communication literacy and numeracy skills in English
• The ability to work as part of a team
• The ability to perform manual handling stand for long periods and regularly lift 15 20kg safely
• Previous experience in Sample Preparation is highly regarded.
