We are seeking Senior Software Engineers AI/ML who will collaborate with innovation lab leaders working across CoBank teams to design and develop rapid prototypes and MVPs test implement and support technical solutions primarily focused on a robust AI use case backlog using full-stack development tools and technologies. Share your passion for staying on top of tech trends experimenting with and learning new technologies participating in internal & external technology communities and mentoring other members of the engineering community.

Essential Functions:

1. Engineers automated solutions prototypes and building MVPs.

2. Collaborates with innovation managers participates in ideation sessions for user requirements gathering works with cross functional teams and delivers robust cloud-based solutions.

3. Utilizes programming languages like React Python HTML/CSS SQL Open-Source databases Container Orchestration services including Docker and Kubernetes and a variety of AWS tools and services Windows PowerShell

4. Develops solutions for improving quality delivery efficiency and customer and employee experience for business partners using automation technologies. Collaborates with product and business teams to productionize ML models integrating them into full-stack applications with scalable APIs and real-time inference pipelines.

5. Demonstrates advanced understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and CI/CD pipelines and tools as well as AI Development tools such as CoPilot Studio utilizing MLOps (Machine Learning Operations) and Software Development 2.0.

6. Leads resolution of production issues and engages IT and vendors as necessary.

7. May prioritize and oversee activities of others to meet deadlines and quality standards.

8. Works closely with innovation managers and business units regarding enhancements and changes. Coaches Sprint team around technical roadblocks. Accountable for scope resourcing and timely deliverables within the sprint objectives.

9. Collaborates with and across Agile teams.

10. Learns and leads implementation of new technologies by analyzing technical specifications build and configure supporting infrastructure and implementing security best practices. Designs and implements AI/ML-powered features to enhance automation decision-making associate and customer experience in finance applications using tools such as Amazon SageMaker TensorFlow or Scikit-learn.

11. Provides workday and after-hours production support including troubleshooting problem correction testing and promotion to the production environment.

12. Leads root cause analysis of application issues and facilitates resolution by coordinating with the vendor internal IT and users as appropriate.

13. Demonstrates advanced knowledge of version control systems like Git as well as the ability to manage code repositories branching strategies and code review processes effectively.

14. May provide technical assistance and mentoring to engineering team.

15. Leverages generative AI to improve customer-facing tools such as agents document automation and intelligent search capabilities.

Bachelors Degree in computer science information systems or a relevant discipline required.

Masters Degree in computer science ML AI information systems or a relevant discipline preferred.

5 years of experience in front end and back end development required.

2 years of experience in Agile practices required.

2 years of experience with Python CoPilot Studio Power Automate React Typescript and Node and cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure AWS or Google Cloud required.

Prior Experience designing and implementing of AI/ML-powered features to enhance automation decision-making and customer experience in agricultural finance applications using tools such as Amazon SageMaker TensorFlow or Scikit-learn required.

Prior Experience productionizing ML models integrating them into full-stack applications with scalable APIs and real-time inference pipelines required.

Prior Experience leveraging generative AI to improve customer-facing tools such as chatbots document automation and intelligent search capabilities required.

The typical base pay range for this role is between $119200 - $146640. Compensation may vary based on individual job-related knowledge skills expertise and experience. This position is eligible for a discretionary annual incentive program driven by organization and individual performance.
