You the cool collected expert on the other end quickly assess the situation provide expert guidance on immediate steps and advise them on the best course of action whether its rushing in or monitoring at home. Your ability to translate complex medical situations into understandable terms your inherently calm and comforting demeanor and your meticulous documentation will be the difference-maker for countless pets and their grateful families.

What Youll Be Doing (Besides being a superhero for pets!):
- Performing expert phone triage for incoming emergencies providing crucial advice and determining the urgency of care.
- Calmly and compassionately communicating with distressed pet owners offering reassurance and clear instructions.
- Maintaining impeccable and thorough documentation of all client communications and patient interactions.
- Monitoring our patient management system to proactively assess and ensure the appropriateness of care for patients awaiting transport or in-hospital evaluation.
- Potentially assisting with vital tasks such as reviewing discharge instructions with owners creating and explaining invoices processing payments and providing timely patient updates.
- Embracing other duties as they arise utilizing your extensive ECC background to support the seamless operation of our emergency service.

What You Bring to the Table:
- Extensive in-depth knowledge of veterinary emergencies critical care and triage protocols.
- Proven ability to effectively and accurately triage pet emergencies over the phone.
- An exceptionally calm comforting and clear speaking voice.
- Unwavering patience and empathy for worried pet owners.
- Superior grammar and written communication skills.
- Adeptness at thorough and accurate documentation.
- Familiarity with veterinary electronic medical record software (e.g. ezyVet).
- A passion for animal well-being and a commitment to providing exceptional client service.
- Certified/licensed veterinary technician preferred but not required
- Work one weekend day per week
